As a WordPress Developer, you will create and maintain WordPress websites and plugins for clients. You will work with a team of designers, developers, and project managers to ensure the successful execution of projects.Key Responsibilities:
- Develop custom WordPress websites and plugins using PHP, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Collaborate with designers and project managers to ensure the successful delivery of projects.
- Troubleshoot and debug issues that arise during development, testing, and production.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest WordPress development trends and technologies.
- Customize WordPress themes and plugins to meet client needs.
- Test websites and plugins for performance, security, and compatibility with different devices and browsers.
- Provide technical support to clients and address any issues that arise.
- Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to the development of best practices.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field.
- At least 3-5 years of experience in WordPress development.
- Proficiency in PHP, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Experience with WordPress development tools such as WordPress Codex, WP CLI, and Git.
- Knowledge of WordPress best practices for security, performance, and SEO.
- Ability to customize WordPress themes and plugins using PHP and CSS.
- Familiarity with responsive web design principles and techniques.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to debug issues quickly.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
Qualifications:
- Experience with WordPress page builders such as Elementor, Divi, or Beaver Builder.
- Knowledge of WordPress multisite environments.
- Familiarity with e-commerce plugins such as WooCommerce or Easy Digital Downloads.
- Experience with automated testing frameworks such as PHPUnit or Codeception.
- Experience with cloud-based development environments such as AWS or Azure.
